NFL Salary Cap 101

Ever wonder how the NFL Salary Cap works? Or how NFL contracts are structured? Or how teams manage to stay under the cap?

NFL Salary Cap 101 provides you with the answers to these questions, provided to you by a former NFL league office & team front office salary cap expert.

Classes are taught by Jimmy "J.I." Halsell. For 2 seasons, Halsell worked as the Salary Cap Analyst for the Washington Redskins. Prior to that, Halsell worked for the NFL Management Council, the league office department responsible for the administration of the NFL salary cap and approval of player contracts. Halsell currently authors two salary cap blogs; one on FootballOutsiders.com entitled "Under The Cap" and the other at InsideTheCap.blogspot.com and has been interviewed and quoted in numerous national media outlets regarding the cap and contracts.
